Before I butchered her for my pumpkin pies.
Voluptuous beauty, she made me grin
And loathe to put a knife to her skin.
Alas, I could wait no more,
So I slashed my lovely right down to the core.
I expected her flesh to be full and sweet,
But she proved to be stringy with not much meat.
(I roasted her seeds for a tasty treat.)
In my oven she basks, steamy, soft, nice,
Awaiting her perfume of pumpkin pie spice.
(L. Trecroce)
I am thankful for the Lord, for His wonderful provision, and for you.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
