Writer's Cramp

You may be wondering why the shortage of words this month, thinking, did she go on strike, like other Greeks? Let me assure you that's not the case. I'm temporarily concentrating all my writing on an event called NaNoWriMo. (Click on the icon under my profile for a more detailed description). NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month and the idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. Yep, 50,000 words in 30 days!

I'll be back in December to let you know how it went. In the meantime, enjoy the ditty my husband wrote in honor of the occasion:

KEYBOARD KUDOS

Clickety-click, clickety-click
Clickety-click she goes
Typing away, writing away
Everything that she knows.

Wakes up before dawn
Throws her old bathrobe on
Sits down in her chair
Words dangling in mid-air

Time is essential
Words have potential
The theme is sublime
Already page fifty-nine.

Write down that thought
Nothing is for nought
Include something wise
You may win the Nobel Prize.

Lydia! Yay for you! Go for it with all you've got! There is a blogging version called NaBloPoMo that I have entered. (National Blog Posting Month)The challenge is to post a blog every day for the month of November & I'm loving it so far! I love your hubby's ditty, very supportive.

Lydia, I love your husband's poem! He sounds so supportive and understanding -- sometimes difficult for the family members of writers, who can't understand why the writers are so driven :-)

Good luck with NANO this month -- an impressive undertaking. What word# are you up to?
