Posting here I feel like a souvlaki--or a "gyro", as non-Greeks call the Gk. fast food made of meat shaved off a spit. I'm exposing my innards for the world to see. Hope I don't get roasted!
Anyway, 1st topic: Who has inspired you most, and how?
Next to the Lord Jesus, I have to say my mother. She is the kindest, most selfless person I have ever known. I've seen her deny herself food, afraid others in her house might not have enough to eat. She'll open her home freely to those with nowhere to stay, even give up her own bed. Sacrifice. My mother never thinks twice when it comes to relinquishing her needs and wants for those of others. She is love in action, the embodiment of 1 Corinthians 13.
Everything my mother does, she does with all her heart. One only has to sample her lasagne to see. Mom doesn't cut corners, using no-boil noodles or jarred tomato sauce. Her lasagne is the real Italian thing. She uses 2-3 kinds of meat in her tomato "gravy" and simmers it slowly--at least 3 hours. Mmmm! Tastes like love.

Those of you who don't know the special blessing of such a parent's love in your lives- our Heavenly Father provides more love than is humanly possible through His Son, Jesus Christ. He loved you even before He created the world! (John 17:24)
I'm so proud of you! Blogging! Go girl! I love lasagna but I eat the store bought kind, since the one time I attempted it, the lasagna came out skinny and runny. But I have a friend who made tomatoe sauce from scratch and I'd get to her house and be welcomed by the smell of sauce simmering on the stove--delicious!
